Terms and Conditions

Modifications and Cancellations of All Services

The purpose of these terms and conditions of Viajes Vacarte is to inform our customers of the general contracting conditions under which the following services are provided: accommodation, air transportation, arrival and departure transfers, flight + hotel packages, and travel insurance.

Cancellations

In case of cancellation, the amount paid for blocking the reservation is non-refundable. If the reservation policies allow, a penalty of 10% of the total cost of the reservation will apply, and the balance will be issued as an electronic wallet in favor of the reservation holder, with validity as stated in the document.
All modifications are subject to availability.
All modifications require full payment of any additional charges that may arise based on the requested change and the date of the request.

 

Modifications or Cancellations of Hotel Reservations

Penalties apply for changing hotels, depending on the day the request is made.
If you reduce the number of nights, an electronic wallet will be issued with a 10% penalty applied to the paid amount.
If you booked a promotional offer, any changes must comply with the same conditions to maintain the promotion. If you want to change your reservation to dates with promotional rates, a new reservation must be made, and the previous one canceled (hotel cancellation policies apply).
Reservations with “super sale” promotions – non-refundable – flash deals – immediate payment do not allow changes or cancellations, and a 100% penalty of the total reservation value applies for cancellations.
In the event of a “no-show,” a 100% penalty of the total reservation value applies.

 

Modifications to Flight Reservations

Requests must be made at least 72 hours before the start of the trip and are subject to the fare and airline policies.
Additional charges apply for all flight date or time changes.
Airline tickets are non-transferable to another person or airline, except in the case of the passenger’s death.
Changes apply to all passengers on the flight reservation. Partial changes for some passengers are not allowed.

 

Modifications to Airport – Hotel Transfer Reservations

Requests must be made at least 24 hours before the transportation service begins.
If your flight is delayed or you travel at a different time, contact us as soon as possible to reschedule your transportation. It is the reservation holder’s responsibility to manage the transfer schedule.
If you change the type of service resulting in a lower-cost transfer, we will refund the difference, applying a 10% penalty on the refundable amount.

 

Modifications to Flight + Hotel Package Reservations

Requests must be made at least 72 hours before the start of the trip.
Additional charges apply for all flight date or time changes.
Airline tickets are non-transferable to another person or airline, except in the case of the passenger’s death.
Hotel changes to a different destination than the flight destination are not allowed.
You may increase but not decrease the number of passengers on a flight, provided seat availability.
Trip duration cannot be reduced.

 

Modifications to Travel Insurance

Any changes must be requested at least 5 days before the trip and are subject to the service provider’s policies.
Insurance cannot be modified if coverage benefits have been used (insurance claims).
Passenger numbers cannot be increased or decreased.

 

Passenger Responsibility

Each passenger is responsible for complying with the required documentation for their destination. If a “no-show” occurs due to failure to meet documentation requirements for a domestic destination, foreign country, or specific fare rules, the reservation holder and passengers are solely responsible.

 

Payment Deadlines

If the reservation is not paid by the established date and/or time, it will be automatically canceled. The customer loses the right to the rate and availability and will be subject to the cancellation policies set by the operator, hotel, or service provider. Payments made to non-official Viajes Vacarte Guayabal accounts will not be recognized, so we recommend verifying account details before making any payments.

 

Publication of Prices in Foreign Currency

For excursions, services, or travel packages with international destinations, prices, quotes, confirmations, and totals will be listed in foreign currency. The sale price will result from converting the foreign currency into the national currency (MXN) at the exchange rate applicable at the time of payment. Payments can be made in Mexican Pesos (MXN) at the exchange rate in effect at the payment date or in the foreign currency if agreed upon by both parties.

This exchange rate is determined under the provisions issued by Banco de México and in accordance with Article 8 of the Monetary Law of the United Mexican States, which stipulates that obligations payable in foreign currency within the Republic must be settled in the national currency equivalent.

All price-related details are part of our adhesion contract under the Federal Consumer Protection Law, the Monetary Law of the United Mexican States, and NOM-010-TUR-2001.
